eLeMeNto
eLeMeNto is a band composed by five talented and experienced musicians who bring influences from an array of Puerto Rican rock groups and styles over the years. Each one has different influences which make it special when they blend it all together. We are talking about individuals from bands and artists like: Ricky Martin, Luis Fonsi, Cien del Cielo, Valleverde, Paradiso in addition to many other recording projects. Over the years, these professionals have performed in numerous venues with a variety of artists and bands on Puerto Rico, Latin America and the United States which include: 10th Ed. Premios Tu Musica, The Latin Grammys, The Billboard Awards, Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum(Choliseo -PR), Roberto Clemente Coliseum, Tito Puente Amphitheater, American University in Washington DC, UPR - University of Puerto Rico and RUM Mayaguez, Las Justas in Ponce, and Bellas Artes Performing Arts Center in PR among others. In the Local Club Scene and Top Hotels they have performed in Shannan's Pub, Coaches Sport Bar, Moorings, Pool Palace, Shots, Galaxy Lanes, Lupis, The Brass Cactus, The Oyster Bar, Amadeus Bistro, Chillis Restaurants, Houllihan's, Hard Rock Cafe, Soleil, MVP Club, Mezzagrill, Panchitas Pub, Dunbars Irish, Logan's Irish Pub, El San Juan Hotel, Caribe Hilton Hotel, Marriot Condado, Hyatt Hotels, The Ritz Carlton, El Convento Hotel-SJ, Ponce Hilton, Tropimar Convention Center, The Arena Pier 10 and Las Tablas Restaurant among many others all over the island. Our eLeMeNts making it special and unique are (click on top of their names to send an email) : Rafa Rodriguez - Lead Vocals, Guitars An exceptional singer with more than 12 years of performance experience, Rafa Rodriguez brings a high energy power show to Elemento. In addition to his catchy hard rocking voice, he manages to keep up the excitement going on throughout the concert. You have to live the experience with his non-stop frontman entertainment and fun to watch interaction with the crowd. He has collaborated with artists like Pop Singer David Bisbal and Latin Grammy Award winning jazz flautist, Nestor Torres. Also he has been in successful bands like Valleverde and his upcoming project Baku, which promises success with an upward artistic career. Angel Rodriguez - Lead Guitar, backing Vocals Angel is ranked as one of the best rock guitarists in Puerto Rico. Winner of various guitar contests and with touring experience all over the the US, Angel brings an outstanding array of influences that range from the 70s to present. He has played in top performing bands like Paradiso, Sol Jaguar, Neouphoria, Rolando Lugo and The Kiss Tribute with Kiss's guitarrist, Bruce Kulick. He has sucessfully completed several guitar workshops in the US and is currently active in original projects. This brilliant performer brings exciting energy with creative sounds, edgy guitar reefs and his unique versatile-impressive rocking sound. Martin Cerame - Keyboards, Synth, Programming and backing vocals Martin, an educated artist , musician and composer with a BA, major in Music, is ranked as one of the best talents in the Puerto Rico music industry. His creative ability as a musician, composer / arranger and director has taken him to collaborate and perform with artists like Ricky Martin, Wilkins and Alexandra Guzman among others. At present he has been awarded the role of Musical Director for Janina ; a top ranked female pop singer, winner of Objetivo Fama 2004 (International talent seeking contest). In addition to multiple studio projects, Martin has been also involved with top performing bands like Valleverde and his upcoming project Bakú . He brings an impressive flow of talent to Elemento with a broad musical background that takes the band to another level. Rafael Nieves - Band Manager, Bass Guitar, backing vocals Founder and manager of eLeMeNto, Rafael (better known as Rafel ) brings a punchy, tight and round bass foundation to this project. With more than 13 years in the music industry, he has played over the years with many genres that cover latin, popular and top 40 music. Founder of the legendary band Cien del Cielo , Rafel has been involved in many projects which include the creation of the rock-salsa medley version of the famous Salsa Artist: Gilberto Santarrosa . This creation catapulted Cien del Cielo into the local band scene all over Puerto Rico and the US. In addition to his MBA in Technology Management, he has a Bass Guitar Workshop certification from the Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico. Also he has participted on several music clinics in Puerto Rico and the US, hosted by top bassists like Victor Wooten and John Patitucci among others. He currently collaborates with many local artists, bands and maintains business partnerships with musicians and club owners for ongoing project developments. Carlos Benitez - Drums, Minor Percussion Carlos has recently re-joined the Elemento crew bringing a solid rhythmic vibe that pushes the envelope to the next level. His professionalism and drumming influences range from the 60's through present, including rock, funk and top 40s broad expertise. He has been playing for more than 20 years in the music industry. Currently he is the official drummer of the International pop artist - latin singer Luis Fonsi. In addition he has left his legacy in legendary top rock bands like: Mattador and Malas Mañas among others. Carlos is also being proudly sponsored by important pro music gear manufacturing firms like Slingerland Drums by Gibson and Sabian Cymbals .
